Inn on St. Peter, New Orleans
Great place! Noisy neighbors
It’s a great place to stay inside the French Quarter. It’s 2 or 3 blocks away from Bourboun Street. You are no able to hear the Noise, but because it’s a residential area, the neighbors might have parties during the weekend!

Inn on St. Peter, New Orleans
cozy and quiet
During my stay in New Orleans I spent 4 days at St. Peter's Inn and 1 day at another hotel in the area. I preferred St. Peter's Inn because it is located in a quiet area and the building itself is one the old buildings. My room was on the first floor, which required to use a staircase that was rather narrow. Not sure, but I assume there is no elevator. But that is what I like about the place - it is old and has character. The room itself was cozy, nice clean wooden floor, very comfy bed with comfy pillows. The bathroom is a little small but does the job. The only thing I did not like as much (but it was not a deal breaker) was that the windows had only a "heavy curtain" option. Since the windows faced the inner courtyard you could not just pull up the curtains (privacy). That meant the room was pretty dark. Some people like that, I actually prefer some natural light. If they had shades, at least it still would have allowed some sunlight to get in. But nevertheless, it still was a cozy place. If it had not been winter and chilly, guests could have even sat in the cute little courtyard. Really liked the atmosphere. Would definitively return if I was in New Orleans again.
