When I plan a trip I splurge on one special stay over the other places we are traveling to. This was our most expensive stay yet it turned out to disappoint. We were not told that they were having issues with their well and the water was unsafe to drink. For that reason we were not willing to risk showers or other water uses. Also the refrigerator didn’t work and the AC was making a loud noise so we ended turning it off so we could sleep. Although the staff tried to help it fell well short of a partial refund I felt we were due.

KID FREE ZONE
My husband and I enjoyed a nice quite kid-free getaway at Homestead Cottages. It's absolutely perfect for a completely disconnected time from your daily life. The only drawback was the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking (and back issues) so I had to sleep on the much more comfortable couch. I will say I was thankful for that couch and falling asleep with the fireplace going. Also, the coffee pot didn't work but that wasn't a bother since Starbucks isn't too far away. Overall, we absolutely loved it. I wish I could say we'd stay again but my husband and I like to sleep in the same bed so that may be the thing that prevents a return.

Beautiful place to relax! ❤️
Our family stay at the cottages was very restful and relaxing, they have beautiful trails for hiking. It's just all in all a lovely property. The property doesn't have cell service but the Wi-Fi works just fine for making phone calls. The only problem we had was the water, it was well water and it was fine to cook with, but it tasted nasty to drink. We went to the gas station 5 minutes up the road and they had gallons and bottles of water. we brought food so we could cook in the cottage and I was surprised by the amount of utensils available to me. it was very nice to not have to go out for every meal while on vacation. I would definitely stay there again.
