Exceptional 10.0
Great Stay in St Charles Ave.
We had a wonderful experience at this B&B right on St. Charles Avenue (including easy access to the street car right in front of the home). The owners are welcoming and quite interesting people with whom to converse. The room we stayed in was quite large, elegant and the breakfast was well done. I gave it 5 stars, but I need to point out that the WIFI in our room was almost non-existent. If that is a big issue for you, then please reconsider staying here (it wasn't really an issue for us!)

Gracious living!
My host Shelia was gracious and accommodating, expecially when my flight was cancelled.

Delightfully charming!
Mr. Hubbard greeted us at the door and introduced us to his mansion. Even though it's a fairly contemporary mansion, it feels old and grand, and the rooms are furnished with antiques (our four-poster bed was amazing!) Since there are only 5 rooms, the mansion is always quiet, and it's right off the St. Charles streetcar (the Foucher stop, which is literally steps away from the mansion), so it's convenient to the French Quarter but far enough away that you get peace and quiet. It's in the heart of the Garden District, so definitely take time to walk the neighborhoods and visit Lafayette No. 1 cemetery. The breakfasts prepared by Sheila were delightful, as was our breakfast company. The only downsides to our stay was that we weren't able to connect to the WiFi, the TV was small and outdated (but we didn't even feel the need to turn it on), and the bathroom was a bit small and needed updating. If you are a come-and-go-as-you-please traveler, you do need to know that you have to schedule a time to check in, and breakfast is served only between 8-9 a.m.

Very Good 8.0
My son and I stayed at Hubbard to visit universities. We arrived very late but arrangements had been made for us so we could finally rest. The next morning was a very pleasant surprise, a cultural experience, were a lovely breakfast was served and we were joined by our host - a most gracious gentlemen and a living part of history

The Man, the Mansion, and the City
Fantastic experience. Shelia and Don were awesome hosts. Get the local insight of dining, local specialties, and history of the area. Looking forward to a return visit.
