This hotel is amazing! I got in on a red eye and they were able to get me a room early and upgrade me to a king free of charge. The wifi is pretty reliable, there's free coffee, and a decent gym. The actual building is really cool- very Hogwarts/old 20s vibe with fireplaces and mahogany panelling. I was sad to leave.

Worth a try
Very cool place in a great location. Close to everything you would do in Chicago. The property is a great old building with fabulous architecture, great spaces to eat and drink, and games! The room was kind of dormitory ish but the bed was comfortable, the shower worked well and the mini bar was well stocked with drinks and snacks. There were some negatives though. Our room was on the fourth floor and I’m guessing above the kitchen because it smelled like charred steak every evening. Our room was on the alley side - no view, dark, and loud. Train noises every few minutes (being close to the loop is a plus and a minus) and dumpsters getting dumped at 6:30am. A room on a higher floor would probably be better, but 2 of the 4 elevators were out of order so we resorted to using the stairs. Still I would go back- very unique place in probably the best location in the city
