NO COFFEE IN THE ROOM
Room was very nice. A little on the small size but your are down town in a big city. Only down side is NO COFFEE IN THE ROOM. You have to go to the bar on the second floor to get a cup. Big pain in my back side to get dressed and go down five flights to get a cup to then go back to the room and work on my email. They were not even open at five thirty AM the morning of my departure when I was on the way out to the airport. A long ride with no java.

Historic hotel that’s busier than Grand Central
Elevator situation is a bit complicated, especially if you’re on a floor above floor 11. Because of the rooftop bar/restaurant and the bar on the second floor, it’s always a bit of a wait to get an elevator. not ideal if you’re traveling on business or if you really want a typical quiet hotel where crowds are not what you expect the minute you get into the hotel lobby. Uber pickups take forever as does waiting on the elevators to go downstairs. On the flip side, you’re in walking distance to the Art Institute, Millennium Park, and shops on State Street and Mag Mile. Would I return? For the lobby bar on the 2nd floor but probably not for the hotel itself — it feels as the hotel guest experience is an afterthought to catered affairs like weddings and restaurant patrons on the top floor. Kitchen staff should not be using the same elevators as hotel guests — it’s crowded enough to get into an elevator and waiting for 15 minutes for an elevator is unacceptable.

I had a good experience, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Ask for a room with a view of Millennium Park. And grab a cocktail at Cindy's on the roof. It's worth it.

This is a great place, except it is very dark inside. Maybe could use a little more lighting in the bathroom. Very clean and everyone was heloful
