Modern elegance
A beautiful Hotel, fresh elegance without feeling like worn traditional details. Great service with upgrade given without request. It was unusually cold in Austin, teens and twenties, and it was difficult to heat the room to my taste. Dining room pretty cold for breakfast too. Perhaps part of the price you pay for a Historic stay without modern insulation and drafty doors (Dining hall). I’d definitely enjoy it warmer temps and take advantage of the beautiful porches and courtyard.

The property is beautiful. Our room was comfortable. The veranda was lovely. Probably the best part of this place. HOWEVER room service/in room dining was terrible. It took forever to get our order. Over an hour. Food was cold, no utensils were brought to us. We placed the tray outside our door. It stayed there over 24 hours!!! So gross!! We had to call twice to have it picked up! No extra TP in restroom. Had to venture out in hallway to search for some.

One night at the Ella
Everyone at Hotel Ella was very nice. The rooms are comfortable, though not plush. I would suggest putting some shelves or a table in the large bathroom for toiletries. Our room also had a periodic vibration that was annoying, but, overall, we were comfortable. Good option for a quick stay.

Hotel Ella
Parking was not very convenient as they only had valet available. We were constantly in and out of the hotel so it added to our overall cost to the trip. The staff was amazing and the pool was super cute. The room was great with luxury linens, high pressurized shower, and a comfortable mattress. The upper porch was beautiful but there are some concerns with a few wooden boards that are questionable due to rotting wood. Overall I would definitely stay again as it is close to everything Austin has to offer. With all the high rise hotels around Hotel Ella is a little gem! If you want a unique hotel in a safe neighborhood within the city Hotel Ella is your destination!
