Amazing stay!
We stayed at the Aquafina for 5 nights, it was a girls vacation to celebrate the end of summer, sending the kids back to school and treat for the moms. Plus a special 35th bday for my sister. Usually, we decide to go away to an island and not stay in the States, but this year, we decided for the States. And where better than Miami in September?! We couldn't be more happy with our decision for Miami and our stay at the Aqualina! The last time I was here was 10 years ago, for my 1st child's 1st birthday. This place is amazing! The hotel is still breathtaking, the staff is so friendly and willing to help and they have a manager in particular, Andrew, that went above and beyond his role to make sure we were happy and without regrets of coming to Miami. We arrived immediately after Hurricane Irma, within a few days, and Andrew promised us over the phone that there was absolutely no damage to the area and the hotel was up and running. He was also understanding and willing to credit us back if we decided not to travel because of the hurricane. But because he seemed so genuine over the phone, we decided to proceeed with our travel plans and we were super happy we did! Once we arrived, it was like nothing happened! And even better, Andrew greeted us personally AND gave us an upgrade in our room just for coming. Long story short, he was very good to us and we want to personally thank him!

Good 6.0
Great staff and service , rooms are spacious and comfortable. Property is very old for a 5-star property. No entertainment available at all. Didn’t feel like a resort felt more like a big hotel with 2 restaurants and nothing more. I don’t think I would return to it. Its shame because the staff goes above and beyond but property not a real 5 star to what you see in another destinations.

Beautiful hotel, exceptional service.
My husband and I stayed at the Acqualina for our anniversary. It was our first time staying there. We arrived mid week and stayed through the weekend. While we spent most of our time at the resort, I found the resort to be in a great location. It is within walking distance of Walgreens, CVS, several shopping plazas, and restaurants. Most importantly, it is right on the beach. From the moment we checked in until checkout, the service was impeccable. EVERY staff member we came into contact with was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Our second night there we went to The Bar at AQ. We mentioned to the bar staff, Maria, that we were celebrating our anniversary. She immediately offered to get a reservation for us the following evening at Il Mulino. When we arrived the following evening at the restaurant, they had sprinkled rose petals on our table and brought us a dessert at the end of our meal, wishing us a happy anniversary. All the reviews praising this resort are accurate. The grounds and pools are beautiful. The hotel and suites are spacious, very comfortable, and have great views. The restaurants are excellent. However, for me, this resort hit it out of the park with its customer service. Both my husband and I enjoy traveling, having stayed at several hotels in Florida over the years. The Acqualina Resort is our favorite place to stay to date.

Another Great Stay
We spent 4 days at The Acqualina and had another wonderful experience. They pride themselves on customer service, and it shows. We brought our 2 children for this visit, and they both LOVED the hotel as well. Upon checking in, we were upgraded to a deluxe one-bedroom suite, which was perfect for our family. They had already prepared two "sofa" beds for the children and there were fresh baked cookies and milk waiting for them in our room! The rooms are spacious and very well-appointed. Beds are very comfortable. There are only 96 guest rooms, so we received excellent service. Everyone greets you by name and remembers your preferences for drinks, etc. Once again....Anicet and the staff at the Costa Grill (pool bar) area were great! Very accommodating with the children. There were always good chairs by the pool, and the staff was quick to help set up umbrellas and provide towels. Food and drink service was excellent as well. We arrived a little over a week after Hurricane Irma damaged the area. The staff did an excellent job with repairs, and there was very little indication that they had just suffered a MAJOR hurricane. We had friends who stayed at a neighboring hotel, and they had closed pools, poor customer service, and NO hot water for their entire stay. I discovered our hot water was broken on the first morning, and the Acqualina staff sent SEVEN people to repair it within 15 minutes. Just very, very professional! Very happy, and we hope to return soon!

Good 6.0
did not meet my expectations, but not bad.
Good: not crowded, no problems getting service at the restaurants (frankly a problem elsewhere in at least 2 Miami hotels of the same kind), the beach has some seeweeds but not as much as the Hollywood beach, basically acqualina is very good by comparison to 2 other Miami hotels, BUT my check in took 2h, they said they'e getting me an upgrade, did I ask for one? I had paid over 1k a night, for the room that I originally booked. What upgrade could there be? they didn't give me a presidential suite or nothing. This set the tone for the rest of the stay. The room was much less than stunning, felt a little dirty for some reason, and it was a suite w a kitchen but who cares, not like im cooking on vacation. The rooms look amazing on pictures, and somehow just okay in real life, although it is the same room as pictured. My impression overall was that of struggling to keep up some kind of an image but im sorry, this place doesn't measure up to the 5 star resorts in Cancun, and that was the minimum I was expecting. Acqualina felt like a senior person trying to recapture something, but instead it just feels annoying. oh and they "freshen up" the rooms in the evening. They don't WARN about this, so I left right after my check in at 6 PM, and came back to a room where my dirty underwear had been picked up, handled, folded, and put back into my suitcase. Unbelievable. AND they had no available in my room.
