From the friendly greeting to the rooftop restaurant/bar, this hotel was a find. I had read the reviews enough to know that it was well sited for walking but until you actually get there it is hard to really know how well sited. Walk one way and you meander over to the Coliseum and Forum. Walk another and you are headed for the famous fountains and plazas. And head directly over the bridge and you are in the neighborhood of Trastevere which feels authentic, is a bit less touristy and has a wonderful and lively vibe at night. We only got in a cab for The Vatican tour and even then walked back along the river. The hotel is beautifully styled and breakfast is just right. The hotel staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. This is a place we will definitely return to on our next trip to Italy. And, having done some of the mandatory sites, we might be spending a bit more time up on that roof.

Wonderful stay in Rome
Olga was very attentive to us and did everything to make our stay wonderful. She made all our dinner reservations and every place she reccmd was outstanding. We even had the best table in the restaurant thanks to Olga. Rooftop bar at sunset and brkfast in the morning was wonderful. We will be coming back .

Rome at its best
Excellent boutique hotel. Our room was very nice and clean and quiet. We were right on the main street but did not hear traffic. I loved the location because in the morning I could open the window and watch the morning commuters whiz by while also looking at Hercules monuments located right across the street. It was an easy walk into the Historic Center from the Hotel. The rooftop bar was especially a plus with the nice breeze, panoramic views and tasty drinks. In the morning a scrumptious breakfast buffet was served fresh and hot. The entire staff was friendly and available for all needs at any time. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Rome.

Great find, great value!
Forty-Seven hotel was recommended to me by a family member who stayed a few years ago. We loved the location, amazing staff and service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and they even sent us a birthday dessert for my husband after seeing on his passport that his birthday fell during the trip. The rooms are a nice size, with a nice bathroom and amazing water pressure in the walk-in shower (a rare find, I think). We like to walk A LOT when we travel, so we didn't mind that the hotel wasn't right next to the Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps. The National Monument and Colosseum were a very short walk. We also discovered a neighborhood called Trastevere which was only a 10-15 minute walk with amazing food and few tourists. Breakfast is served 7-10:30 and it was nice - but why waste calories on breakfast when there's amazing pasta and pizza for lunch and dinner! Honestly, the only thing we didn't love about the hotel was the bed - it was just really stiff and so were the pillows. Probably great for some people! BUT other than that, it was a truly wonderful stay made especially wonderful by the staff.
