Affordable
Just stayed for a concert in aspen room was all I needed bed shower and tv also had a mini fridge and microwave... basics. People were nice and the breakfast was simple - hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, Coffee and juice. I would stay here again for the affordable pricing.

We have stayed at the Cedar Lodge many times over the years. Mary and Joe are fantastic people. Joe does an amazing job with the pool and breakfast room. We enjoy talking to him every time we go. He is helpful and extremely nice. Mary is an angel! She goes out of her way every time to help us with the perfect room. It seems the word is getting out and their popularity is growing. For the price you can't beat service and atmosphere.

Hesitated leaving disabled sister at motel
Put a disabled sister up here for one night. Did not feel it was a safe place to leave her. Horseshoe area where rooms are located was badly lit. Old-style keys and her lock did not properly close, looked as if someone tried to tamper with it at some point. Not in the greatest part of Glenwood Springs, too far to walk to anything of interest, e.g. Hot Springs Pool. That said, room was very clean, beds were good, and sister reported that the staff was super nice, friendly and helpful. I think I would feel more comfortable leaving her there when lots of people are out and about. Off seasons can feel desolate and a bit gloomy, and I chalk up my feelings in part to this. Would be willing to give motel another chance Feb-Mar and Jun-Oct.

Decent Hotel
Glenwood Springs Cedar Lodge was adequate and convenient as a stop over on our way home to Boulder from Utah. Nothing exceptional but rooms were clean and comfortable. Our biggest complain was the all night party a bunch of college students held in the two rooms next to ours. Very loud music literally all night with random people (we assume) slamming up against the wall between our room and theirs. We tried to contact the front desk around 1:00 AM but no one was available.
