Well run and friendly safari camp
The owner of the camp greeted us personally on arrival and this set the friendly atmosphere of the 4 day stay:we were also lent the owner's camera! The days were well structured with an early campfire breakfast followed by a 5 hour day safari and then a communal lunch, afternoon tea and a 4 hour evening drive with sundowners before dinner which worked well as the number of guests during our stay was about 15, and generally everybody went on both drives and lingered to chat after the meals. The menus were "set" and not luxurious but well-cooked with delicious bread and cake The guides who led the game drives were knowledgeable and pleasant company, and we rarely saw visitors from other camps during the drives,as Zikomo is further afield than many of the other camps in the region, and the solitude made the experience more interesting
