NH Montevideo Columbia, Montevideo
We spent five nights at the NH Columbia in Montevideo and it was excellent. Our 7th floor room looked out onto the Rio del la Plata - the widest river in the world. What a view!!! The front desk staff were always welcoming and especially helpful - a shout out to Nicolas, Franco and Paulina for their great service. Through them we booked a day trip to Punta del Este. The daily breakfast was plentiful and delicious (although we don't recommend eating dinner there - disappointing). The ability to cross the street and walk along the Rambla was a special treat. Ask for a room with a view.

Good value for money
Very well located in the Ciudad Vieja, accessible to lots of sights and great walking area. The hotel is fine in terms of value for price...the room was nice but not fancy, bed comfortable. Everything very clean. The breakfast buffet was good but the service was a bit slow In replenishing items. Common areas a bit neglected.....

Great location!
The location was amazing. Our room overlooked the sea. Walking distance to the old city, the port and el Centro. The hotel definitely looked aged and requires an update but the service was great! For the price, we really couldn’t ask for me. We weren’t very fond of the breakfast but it really wasn’t any worse then the more expensive hotels we stayed in.

Good location great views and service
We had a great time exploring the old city. My wife didn’t speak any Spanish so it was lovely for her to have English speaking staff. The hotel itself was a bit run down but was exactly what we needed as we were not spending a great deal of time there looking at the decor. Incredible view from the top level where the Gym is.
