Lovely stay in jvc
From the second we arrived the service was impeccable. Very polite staff. Very clean and comfortable hotel. We used the pool and although it’s only about 3ft deep, it was clean. The music and vibe at the pool turned crazy loud at around 5pm and I took my cue to leave. Food at the pool was ok, nothing spectacular, especially the lack of salsa on the nachos. But it didn’t ruin my time there. Would def stay again. I was visiting friends staying in a nearby block, so this was ideal.

I only stayed at this hotel because of the high rating and reviews. I am very surprised this is rated so highly as my experience was something else. Poor staff attitude, unwelcoming and unfriendly. I only stayed 3 nights and moved elsewhere so I'm very happy I didnt do the full week here. Guests next door to me were having normal conversation and it disturbed my sleep twice in a row so the walls must be very thin. Gym is almost non-existent. Location is no good, very quiet with not a lot to do. On my first night, I Woke up late for breakfast as I was tired from my journey. When I advised a male member of staff at reception he just said its too late and nothing can be done. Not helpful at all. No alternative provided. Poor standard of television channels available. When I went for breakfast had to ask about the omelette chef as it wasnt pointed out to me where he/she was. Lady asking for room number offered no service whatsoever. Very unfriendly, not letting me know where each items of breakfast were. The manager was helpful, when I asked him if there is an omelette chef he called him for me and took my order but then him and the chef started arguing within there and then. Choice of breakfast also could be improved. A tiny gym with next to zero machines to use. Felt full when just 2 other people were there. Not good air conditioning either so poor conditions to workout in. Poolside was lovely with big screen for the world cup and a nice atmosphere. That was the best thing.
