Super convenient location
This if a fine hotel. Staff are friendly though for some reason turnover is high. It is connected via bridge/walkway to the Barnes-Jewish hospital complex, one of the finest medical centers in the U.S. Also close to the trendy Central West End, the Metro, Forrest Park, the zoo and several museums. The only downside is that the pillows on the beds are very lumpy and always have been.

Not worth the money
Upon checking in the girl at the front desk was kind of rude and in a hurry. It was an additional $7.00 to park in the hotel parking structure per day which was not in the listing. The hike in from the parking structure was not pleasant with our bags, there is only one way in and no elevator from the higher floors. You always must return to the front entrance. The signage in the parking garage is confusing at best, it will send you in a never ending circle when in truth the exit is by the entrance. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were very pleasant. Our room had a view of the glorious parking structure (see the pictures) and was a handicap accessible room. The beds were not two Queens as advertised but two full sized. Not sure if that can be attributed to the handicap room or not. When I asked to switch I was told they were too full. I booked a week and a half ahead of time. Breakfast was served in a small area in the lobby so your on top of people no matter what. There are two rooms off to the sides with tables so you can eat more conveniently than on the couches in the lobby but there's no signage to indicate this and hotel staff just stands at the front desk and doesn't even attempt to help out and usher families with kids that direction. I observed 4 staff members standing talking while a family of 5 with 3 small ones tried to balance their plates in the chairs.

Convenient for hospital visits
It took longer than usual to check in, but I was the only person checking in. The day manager allowed himself to be distracted to a lady who interrupted asking about WiFi barriers to getting logged on. She was correct as we found too that the WiFI was not readily available and when you got it, was quick to kick us off. We knew nothing of this hotel allowing 60+ rooms for hospital visits and why we were there with our child. It would have been nice to be asked if we were there for such a visit as on a Tuesday, may have had that option of price still available. They did have popcorn available in the afternoon, which smelled great in the lobby. But the breakfast was not desirable at all. The fruit was frozen and I mean literally dumped into a bowl from the bag. I had to go to the desk to ask for a person to replenish the regular coffee which was prior to any kind of AM rush. There were people waiting for coffee almost continuously. The cooked food was less appetizing than most continental breakfasts. There is a very convenient and good Applebee's attached to the lobby. There are many restaurants of every kind available for blocks up the street. Lots of pretty neighborhood architecture and lawns to take a walk through. Only a few shops avaialble or open to shop in.
