Excellence Punta Cana Adults Only All Inclusive

On the surface the was resort was nice but as you get settled you notice how nasty it is. Most of the staff is extremely rude. The only staff we encountered that was pleasant was the pool bar staff and some of the waiters. The theatre area and lobby smell like cigarettes. People are constantly smoking under the covered area. Do not waste your money with a private pool. The pool is freezing cold and dirty. They do not skim the pool for bugs and the patio furniture has bird feces all over it. We were never able to enjoy that area. We had to exit our stay a day early due to COVID. The staff completely lacked empathy and refused to refund even half of a nights stay. The food was terrible and the drinks were watered down. I would highly recommend finding a different resort then this one.

We had a wonderful time at the Punta Cana Excellence Resort. The staff was amazing and very attentive. We were provided fantastic service. We are very pleased with the resort.

The staff members were exceptionally nice and friendly - and effective! All seemed aimed to please and happy to be there to please you. I didn't like that slacks were required for men for all evening dining venues. Also, we didn't like the location of the swim-up bar, which was almost always in the shade and away from the main pool area.

The place overall was excellent with the food, entertainment and upkeep of the property, but there are a few areas that could be improved for better service. The Spice restaurant is a restaurant that serves Asian food but there is a hibachi grill in the back that seats 12 people around it. You have to make reservations to eat at the hibachi grill but you do not need reservations to eat at just the Spice restaurant itself. This fact was not communicated well to us, because we were under the impression that the entire spice restaurant was the hibachi grill and that you needed to make reservation to eat there. The food at the hibachi grill in the back of the Spice restaurant was excellent but we never got a chance to eat at just the Spice restaurant itself. Another thing that could be improved is the advertisement and start time of the Alegra Disco on the property. The map just says Alegra and it is listed under the Bar category and a lot of people do not know that it is a Disco because the map does not say Disco and it is sitting far off by itself near the Spa. The opening time needs to start at 10:30 p.m. instead of 11:00 p.m., because that is when the different nightly entertainment ends around 10:15, this will give enough time for people to use the restroom and walk to the Alegra Disco. 11:00 start time is too late because a lot of people just head back to their rooms after the nightly shows are over. Hope these suggestions help.

Friendliest staff ever! The wind was a bit much for us.

The property is beautiful, very quiet and relaxing. Would give 10 stars to the spa service. The drawbacks were not enough wait staff to take drink orders by the pool, difficult to get in and out of the pool, and not enough areas to grab a snack mid morning or afternoon while in your bathing suit, and do t want to have to meet the dress code for the restaurants.

Amazing views basically everywhere you can be on the resort. Beach is huge, beautiful waves and completely picturesque.
