Nice non-updated hotel
Nice hotel and very nice staff. Not updated in terms of facilities and rooms, but that is reflected in the price

Solid clean budget option with great access.
Hotel Rose Garden Shinjuku is a really great economic option for a stay in Tokyo, suitable for families. The location is off the mayhem of Shinjuku, but has great walking access to the local sights, trains (a 3-4 minutes to Red M and 10-15 minutes to Shinjuku proper) and solid local food and bar options for our family with two children 7 and 9 in the neighboring streets. The hotel has a good local vibe, very Japanese in terms of guests which we like. The room was super clean and small as expected. Excellent large bathrooms. The service functional and polite, decent English (not expected). The inclusive breakfast solid with Western and Japanese buffet options. My only issue and failure on awarding 5 stars was the pillows that were paper thin and gave me neck issues. I asked reception for an additional pillow and was told the hotel did not have any? I would come back for sure, but would bring my own pillow!

Give it a shot!
The Rosegarden is a well located reasonably priced hotel that should serve most purposes for a quick visit to Tokyo. I found the location to be excellent walking distance to many of the nearby attractions, the morning breakfast selection was good and reasonably priced, the staff very helpful and informative. The room was small but what I expected for Tokyo in this price point, it was clean and comfortable. There was construction going on in the floors above us but the staff one out of their way to warn us about it and to be honest we never heard any noise from it. If you’re in the area I recommend you give this hotel your most consideration.

Very basic. I didn’t see any breakfast or food available or even coffee. Very small rooms. If you just need the room for sleep it’s ok. Tv didn’t have a USB port for Amazon stick.

Very nice smaller hotel in west Shinjuku away from the hustle and bustle around Shinjuku station. But a 6 minute walk and you are there. The room had a wide desk which served my purposes very well
