Great place to stay
I read the reviews and did see that several guests said the beds were bad. We took the chance and, well the beds are really bad. The hotel overall was great. It was clean and very nice with great restaurants, a pool, and a rooftop bar. The pool is only open 10-7 but that was fine. The hotel is in a fantastic location, next to hundreds of shops and restaurants. When my wife called about the beds they acknowledged the problem and tried to fix the issue. they brought us additional comforters and pillows to pad the bed. The beds were truly the only negative of the trip and after the fix, it really wasn't a problem.

Good price and location
Nice place, great location right by the brown line Oxford circus station. Lots of restaurants in the area, which is great since the hotel prices are ridiculously high! Bed was great. The TV is dumb...they mounted the box for the cable up and under the TV in a dresser, so you have to get on one side of the bed and lean down to change the channel.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in
I've stayed in some bad hotels (including a few soggy Howard Johnsons), but the Courthouse Hotel in London's Soho district was by far the worst. The service was abysmal; the staff was ill trained, lackadaisical, and rude; and the facilities were so disappointing that I left feeling scammed. I understand that many people stay at the Courthouse for its location. Please don't. The London Soho district has many fine hotels, most of which are positioned as well as or better than the Courthouse. The Courthouse's location is fine; if you're seeing a play, it is within walking distance of most of the major theatre houses. But given the hotel's myriad shortcomings and the abundance of available alternatives, you should stay somewhere (anywhere) else.
