Dissatisfied
My side of the bed was so broken down that I felt the springs in my back and the pillows were extremely used and lumpy. My room could use a new mattress and pillows.

Very Good 8.0
Loved the character, the service and location. Chill side coulda been more quiet as sound from club was pretty loud. Good news- it wasn’t all night long.

Great way to start your Portland experience
Really nice to have the lounge outside our room. It probably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea to have thumping music until 2 in the morning, but we knew what we were getting into. And being able to just chill outside at the Doug fir lounge was nice. Just throw back drinks and have decent conversation with random people’s. And the coffee shop across the street was an excellent way to wake up. Very pleasing experience of Portland.

Not the best spot - unless you're partying
I stayed at this hotel with coworkers for work trip - and we all joke about what an awful experience it was. We were there during the middle of the week (not a weekend.) There was a heavy metal band playing one of the nights at the venue next door and it was so loud that our rooms were literally shaking as we were trying to sleep. Many of us were on East Coast time, so it was VERY late for us, we had to get up early the following morning and not being able to sleep due to loud music and a vibrating hotel room was a fairly negative experience. We did all notify the staff, but there was nothing they could do. Mind you, I was staying in what was called a 'quiet room' - this was not an accurate description. I did not care for the shag carpet - it may have been clean, but it didn't feel clean and I didn't want to walk around barefoot on it. The rooms also had a fait 'damp' smell to them. It looks WAY better in photos than in reality. I'm sure for someone coming to party, this may be a fun place to stay. But for anyone who wants to feel comfortable, clean and able to sleep - I would not recommend staying here. I won't stay here again.
