Reneged on deal
They reneged on my booking, forcing me to agree to new terms & conditions. They had failed to mention a "city tax" until I arrived, including it as an extra fee.

The hotel DOES NOT disclaim that they do not have AC! we booked 3 rooms and when we got there we were shocked to find out they don't have ACs in the rooms! Some of the staff were nice others were really rude. Breakfast doesn't start until late and they charge you 10 euros for bread and coffee. Will not stay there ever again.

Great hotel near the train station
The Citadines Part-Dieu was a great hotel for what we needed. We stayed for two nights and wanted to be near the train station for an early train trip when we left, and this hotel was easily in walking distance but also walking distance to the main part of the city. The hotel looked old on the outside but the inside seemed recently updated and clean. We were upgraded to a suite room so we had a small full kitchen and living room along with a bathroom and bedroom. The staff was also very friendly!

Lyon visit
The hotel conditions are not so great. We ordered 2 beds but got 2 sofa-beds. The car parking place is pretty poor but charged $15/night. I would not recommend it to my friends.

Overwhelming kitchenette odors
Unless you are OK with the front desk being closed at the manager's whim and love the smell of curry, avoid this Citadines. We arrived before 8 PM to find the Citadines Part Dieu locked. There was a "The front desk is closed" and an "In an Emergency" message posted in the foyer; we do not have a French phone. A nice guest let us in, and let us use his phone. Recording. After more than 1/2 hour of recordings and busy signals, we got through and instructions for finding our key. We entered the apartment and were accosted by the smell of curry...and no recourse. We opened the window to no avail. Next morning, the front desk offered to spray the room. No offer of a room change...unless we wanted to pay an additional fee. Although I declined the spray, they sprayed so we had two gross smells with which to contend. We spent the entire stay with the window wide open, it was unseasonably cool, and still smelled. We chose Citadines to have the option of preparing our own meals; this was impossible due to the overwhelming spice smells. The shower curtain was dirty; they replaced it with another stained curtain. This Citadines serves a significant Indian population. I enjoy Indian food as much as anyone but remember, this is an apartment with kitchenette...so unless you enjoy living with these odors, avoid. I have stayed in different Citadines in Paris, and never had a problem.
