Undefined hot breakfast meat, PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!
This is a great hotel, the customer service people deserve a raise. Much better, friendlier "American" hospitality approach than the usual UK/Ireland starkness. Check-in was nice, and upon check-out they were able to let us keep our bags while we waited for our bus back to Dublin. Great restaurant, except for the lack of proper hot food. Strange goat meat is not exactly my cup of tea at 8 in the morning. Maybe it wasn't goat meat, but it certainly did a strange turn of events with my stomach. However, the rest of the breakfast was fine, including fresh fruit and cereal. The room was nice, the heat was on all the time, and the bathroom was good. However, we were interrupted once by the hotel requesting time for it's workers to come in and install a couple of cabinet drawers in the room. This is not proper hotel conduct. We did oblige, however, I would appreciate a hotel doing it's "fixing" business not on my time, which is extremely valuable. None-the-less, the restaurant for lunch and dinner had decent food, it did mess up a couple of orders, however they did offer room service, which was nice. Complimentary wi-fi signal was average. Nice hotel, great views of the water, overall a pleasant experience.

Great staff.
Hotel is nice and the staff brilliant. Someone decided it would be funny to make the salt pot loose and let the whole contents spill out all over my dinner when I came to use it. I mentioned it not as a complaint but as an observation. The waiter changed the whole meal for me with no hesitation, it wasn't his fault, but took it upon himself to change it, I was truly and genuinely greatful for that wonderful gesture. I couldn't get to sleep until midnight when everyone managed to stay in their rooms. As people exit the rooms the doors would bang really loudly especially in the corridor of rooms 200 and there were children running in and out of 2 of the rooms there. Walls are a bit thin for having the TV on loud especially upto midnight, but not everyone is noise considerate. Overall a nice hotel, if the springs on the door mechanisms were damped a little it would be even better.

Great pool and sauna!
Arklow Bay Hotel was a perfect place to access walking trails and their pool and sauna are top notch! The breakfast was average with many choices and a nice setup with tables far enough apart to have comfortable conversation. The lounge was nice enough to stay in for the night. We didn't need to go into town because it was like a real bar anyhow. Parking was ample and convenient. Quiet and clean. We would stay again.
