Bed Bugs- BEWARE
Initially was very excited for this stay, it was a birthday trip celebrating my baby sisters 26th birthday! We stayed in room 1709 and a couple hours into getting ready for dinner we discovered a BED BUG in one of the beds. We packed our things immediately and called the front desk to request assistance carrying our bags into a new room and a dryer to dry our clothes that had been on the same bed we found the bug (to prevent further spread). We were told to “use the guest dryer for $2 a load” and no further information. No one at the front desk prioritized the issue and brushed it off as simply something that happened.
The morning of checkout I spoke with the manager on staff, a middle aged white man who never offered his name, and showed his the pictures and videos of the BED BUG. He cut me off mid discussion and asked the room number. I asked if anything could be done considering our room was changed from a larger room with a city view to what he called “the same room with less space” facing a brick wall. I was told “I won’t charge you the daily resort fee” to which I had not even been charged yet, so he pretty much assured me he just would not charge me again!! He said that’s all the hotel was willing to offer as I booked through Expedia, which I did not even book through. I thanked him and promised to write a review.
All in all I want to thank the doormen on staff from Feb 4th-Feb 6th as all 3 were great assistance and Daniel for dryer assistance.
