Elegant hotel by the train tracks
This hotel is very elegant and comfortable, and with a decent price. HOWEVER, do ask to stay away from the "city views" rooms as they are facing the rail road tracks of several passing trains--up to 11.30pm at night!!!

Great Visit
The room and the staff were great. Enjoyed a late night drink and snack in the lounge area. but the one thing I will say you will pay a 50 dollar fee for each night you park a vehicle on top of your room fee. Wish they would include that in the price or let you know up front.

Room on the small side, no comfy chair to sit in and read or watch tv. Decor and appolntments were lovely. Bed and linens top of the line. Bathroom shower best we have experienced, bathroom a 10. Would stay again, only drawback, a little off the beaten path but overall a lovely hotel.

Mandarin Oriental Experience
It was a great experience, excellent service, very clean and courteous staff. Best mocktails at the bar! However there were a few things that made it uncomfortable, the air conditioning, it was unbearably cold in the room. The thermostat was not working when I tried to increase the room temperature. Also parking was not free for customers paying to stay at the hotel. It was over $50 per night with tax added. Parking was not free even if you had visitors at the hotel. My guests had to hunt for street parking. Finally, I was not even allowed an extended checkout. All these factors make it discouraging for me to return.

Quiet and isolated from the hustle & bustle of DC
Hotel is beautiful and staff was wonderful. Only a few blocks from the National Mall, but food options are very limited nearby. Wifi ($12/day) and parking ($51/night) are extra.
