Spoiled trip by a few minor details
Unfortunately trip was spoilt by not being the room that we had on our confirmation. 3rd adult was put on a put you up bed which was uncomfortable and not suitable for an adult. Room had not been replenished properly. Had to wait 20 mins for table to be cleared in the bar for our meal. No jacuzzi, coffee and tea machines were empty of water, milk etc. Two young girls were in the men's changing room which was not acceptable. Have complained to staff on check out and told that my details would be passed on for comment but nothing as yet.

Under renovations
This is a beautiful estate in the countryside. We were not allowed to go into the estate house. Mortimer is a quaint little town five minutes drive. The whole complex is under renovation so it is quite inconvenient to get around, it is a large hotel and there is staging and there are a lot of workers in a lot of places. The pool is beautiful but it closes at 8:30 so we didn't get to enjoy it. The room was very nice and even supplied little teddy bears for children. I would stay here again, but I would wait until the renovations are complete. I think the pool should be open later in the evening.

Don't believe the pictures in the advert.
Unless you stay in the Mansion house this is a fraud. It is a corporate youth hostel at high prices. The staff are not interested unless you are there on a corporate stay and you really need to have to speak a East European language to be sure you are understood.

Hotel not quite so good as they claim to be.
Geat stay because I attended a great conference. Hotel room and bathroom OK except various small "niggly" problems which should have been put right previousily (e.g. leaky glass shower joint). Cooking for the conference was quite poor and tasteless. Needs much improvement. Reception administration was far too long and there were often queues waiting to be served. Not good. In general, hotel with mediocre service and too many minor problems which should have been rectified long ago by more demanding management.

hotel to avoid
very hot air conditioning..poor elevator..need to go up a lot of stairs to get to room...not suitable for older disabled people.. nice location..very poor service..fully staffed by eastern Europeans who lack any training in customer relations
