Castle Mountain Chalets, Castle Junction
Hallf way between Banff and Lake Louise
My wife and I stayed here for our recent ski trip. It’s the perfect place to stay to enjoy both Banff and Lake Louise. Our suite had a nice kitchen with most basic necessities to cook simple meals. My only suggestion would be to pick up food in Calgary or bring things from home. The prices in both Banff and Lake Louise are quite high for food as well as alcohol. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. They also have a fairly extensive collection of DVD’s available for free rentals. The only negative I can think of is the train that passes close to the hotel a few times throughout the night. I found this was easy to ignore by sleeping with a pair of ear plugs.

Loved our cabin
We loved our cabin! We much preferred staying here... it was more remote which we preferred. There are no restaurants, etc. nearby, so be aware. The Wifi is poor, and there is some (but limited) cell service. Also - there is a train that runs next to the cabins. It kept us up the first night, but we got used to it quickly. Just part of the 'ambiance'!! However, the cabins were immaculate, and we loved our stay. It doesn't feel like a hotel at all.

Very Good8.0
We liked being right between Banff and Lake Louise and other trails in the Castle Junction Area. It was very quiet at night. Having a General Store and a gas pump there was convenient. The cabin had everything we needed and the service was excellent.

Pleasant stay in Castle Mountain
We stayed in a 2-bdrm cabin with twin beds and a QU bed for 3 nights. The downside is only one bathroom. The cabins are old and rustic, but pretty well kept and comfortable. There were even huge flower baskets on the porch! The train tracks are nearby, but did not seem to cause us a problem with sleeping well. It is a convenient place to stay for trips to both Banff and Lake Louise. Breakfast is not included, but the drive to either Banff or Lake Louise is not that far and there is a convenience store and gas station on the premises. I'd recommend it if you like to 'stay in nature' rather than the city. We enjoyed dinner one night at nearby Storm Mountain Lodge.

Awesome Mountain Retreat.
First of all the staff were all very friendly and totally enjoying to visit with. Second the kitchen was very well set up with dishes and pots and pans to use for cooking. The bed was very comfortable and one night we even slept 13 hours. The location for our needs was perfect. Right between Banff and Lake Louis. We recommended to others as they were checking out the facilities. We had time to relax.
