Excellent one night stay
This was an excellent hotel that I had the pleasure of staying at for one night. The staff was incredibly nice, polite and extremely helpful, the room was far more than adequate and the shared bathroom was completely clean no matter the time of day or night. I only could get 4 hours sleep due to travel arrangements, but those 4 hours were just fine on a comfortable bed. It is located in a really nice area. It was easy to find and it was only 3 blocks away from an entrance to the subway.

Perfect place-price for college visit
My daughter and I stayed one night at The College Club of Boston. Women created this club to provide a stimulating venue for intelligent discourse. It is perfectly located and priced. The rooms are historic, clean, and without television, the perfect place to read. There is a lovely breakfast, included in the price, in a pleasant dining area on the first floor. I would go back in a minute and will recommend The College Club of Boaston to all.

Nice place, but some oddities
Our room was lovely, and large, and the bathroom was gorgeous. The building was quiet overall which was very nice. However, there are two odd things that I must make note of in a review. In the shower there was only one temperature knob in the middle. It had an "H" on it so I assumed how much you turned it on was how hot it would get. Nope - plain, scalding, unusable hot. My bf came in and fiddled with this odd piece underneath that looked like it could have had a knob on it normally. It was just a domed, smooth piece of chrome. No way to grip it! Luckily my bf has good grip strength and was able to turn it just enough so the shower wasn't scalding. My assumption is the cold knob was removed or broken off and it had not been fixed. Also, at 7:45am on checkout day, we wake up to a pounding on our door. 3 seconds later, there is another pounding. My bf is getting up & around the bed to go to the door WHEN IT OPENS. Yes, the staff knocked on our door early in the morning, did not announce who they were, and after less than 10 seconds after their first knock, keyed in and started to enter our room. It was only after we yelled in surprise and my boyfriend shut the door against them did they start talking. They said something about a leak and left. An hour and a half later they came back to put a towel under our radiator. They could have called up to the room, or at least announced who they were and given us a reasonable amount of time to enter. It was honestly really scary.
