The Bowline is an amazing place to stay. It is right on the Columbia River providing beautiful views. The beds are super cozy and very thoughtfully placed amenities.

If I woke up in this hotel and didn't know anything else, I'd figure I was in Norway or Iceland. Beautifully designed, comfortable, and luxurious but accessible. We loved our stay.

Wished it was better..
We stayed 4 nights in the ice house suite. We were offered to upgrade from a trolley room the day of check in and spontaneously decided to treat ourselves. We were traveling with 2 dogs and we needed to work from the room. We were told this room was bigger and detached from other rooms, so would be quieter and had a nice view of the river. It was bigger and should have been quieter but people were constantly walking by the big windows, causing our dogs to bark. We had to keep the curtains closed the majority of the time for privacy from people looking in and also to keep our dogs calm. We never received house keeping and had to ask to have our trash taken on the 3rd day. We also could hear the people in the meeting room next door talking clear as day, as well as the people in the room above us walking around, flushing toilets, etc. On top of all that, we were never notified that there is a $50/pet charge. Hotels.com does not have that information and I had to search the bowline website for a small fine print stating this, not easy to find. We did not feel the upgraded room was worth the cost mainly due to lack of privacy and hearing every little noise around us. The sea lions were quieter than everything else! Ultimately, we won’t be back.
