Great Customer Service, hotels needs TLC
The customer service at Juniper Springs was great. The hotel is beginning to look run down and worn. There is an awful mildew smell every time you walk down the hallways to the elevator. The no A/C you would think would not be a problem but when there's an ongoing fire and you can't open your windows it gets very warm.

Loved it!
When we arrived, the front desk staff was super nice and helpful. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom room versus the studio we reserved. It was a great surprise and ended up working out perfectly since it also had a full kitchen and lots of room for us to spread out. Our balcony looked out onto a little wooded area. It was super nice and relaxing. Overall, we were really happy with our stay and would definitely go back the next time we’re in Mammoth!

The hotel is nice and great location but they don't have AC in their hotel rooms. Which in this case was problematic because of the smoke in the area. So if you wanted to cool down your room at night, you had to open the windows and inhale fire smoke. If you didn't do this the rooms were way to warm to sleep in at night. But other then that the hotel is great.

The front desk was extremely helpful. The lodge is older and would benefit from a deep cleaning and update. FYI. There is no air conditioning but we used a fan in a window and it was sufficient.

Really needed air conditioning.
It was definitely hot without air conditioning and there was poor ventilation due to the windows opening only a few inches at the top of one small panel of the windows in each room. It was in the 80s during the day and very, very warm in the room. The other hotel we stayed at during this time at least offered swamp coolers.
