Yosemite View Lodge, El Portal
I won't stay here again
A frustrating stay. I took my 65 y.o. mom and my 72 y.o. MIL to Yosemite for an early Mother's Day present. The first night there were beetles in the room, the tub was dirty (which I didn't discover until I tried to take a bath before bed), and there weren't enough towels/pillows. I called the front desk to request more they said I could only have two pillows, even though half the hotel was empty. The three of us have back issues and the beds were uncomfortable. The pillows provided were thin and lumpy. The man I spoke with was rude and unwilling to help. The towels that were brought up were stained and smelled bad. I tried to cancel our second night there but customer service at was unable to help us unless the hotel agreed and that same man refused. The three of us woke up sore and tired. My mom slept on the desk and table chairs in the room pushed together rather than sleep on the mattress. The next morning I went to speak with someone about the night before. Marisol at the front desk said she would have a manager speak to me and the room cleaned when we returned. The room was better but no manager ever came to speak to me, or offer any kind of recompense. I will not stay here again and I'm not sure that I would use this website again. Hotel is very close to park entrance. Basic wifi (no streaming/downloading) is $10 for 2 devices for 24 hrs. There is a restaurant/lounge on site with decent food and a small gift shop/convenience store with snacks and essentials

Very Good8.0
I has an incident about the room I booked. At it was saying all the rooms have fireplace and it’s not true. I went to the lobby and upgraded for a nice room with fireplace, spa tub, view to Mercedes river. It was a great experience

Best value for Yosemite Visitors
The hotel was perfect! The indoor pool and hot tub were perfect after a long day of hiking, but beware of kids belly flopping into the pool after sunset. The lobby was stocked full of reasonably priced food for breakfast if you didn’t want to eat at their restaurant. The pizza restaurant is amazing and the service is friendly. All of the staff I met were super helpd and friendly! The hotel was spacious for two people and clean. You don’t have to worry about bed bugs! The bathrooms are pretty huge. Overall the stay was better than expected for the price and the proximity to Yosemite National Park.
