I was in Chicago for business, I bookes st Janes because of customers reviews although AMX platinum recommended 3 other property’s, SJ is not a partn so I booked the SJ thrue hotels.com it was a mistake because I felt as I was a second gread guest who looks for cheap. I got a room with horrendous view, I ran down the lobby and the manager changed my room right away, same side only on the corner of the hotel, so I just didn’t look down. Although the hotel located right on Michigan ave I was not impressed by the “magnificent mile” all there are Macy’s,Gap, Nordstrom.. I have it at home. Also ,Unless you really going to a restaurant that you heard about ( which still not guarantee) You will find only fast food chains, Panera bread on every block, dunkin donuts and Starbucks every 3 doors, I really called Chicago 7-Eleven..when you go there you will see what I’m talking about, dirty 7elenens on every side of aevery block serving hotdogs. The hotel sent me to eat deep cheese pizza at famous Giordanos, listen very carefully, the pizzas are microwaved! It came in 2 minutes gummy and cold uneven hot. The food at the hotel was very good and clean, I end up only eating at the hotel. What can I say.. I am more like a Manhattan, Philly ,London ,Tel aviv kind a guy, I enjoy going there for business and then I take the family. Chicago did not do it for me, anyone welcome to give me advice for my next visit, was I the only one who set in Trufic for Hours and eat microwaved pizza??

Probably wont stay here again!
The negative aspects of my stay occurred in the last 2 days of my 4 night stay. I was in Chicago for business and knowing my flight was later on the last day of my trip, I approached the front desk to inquire about checking out 1 hour later the next day. I approached the front desk (the day before check out) and they told me I should have checked out by then. I told the front desk I was positive that I paid for 4 nights but the person at the front desk just kept saying I should have checked out. I booked my flight through Hotels.com and therefore retreated to the lobby to pull up my booking information in my email. I eventually found it and the person at the front desk went to the back to some room. She returned and said that she would extend my stay. Extend my stay? I was already booked for the next day. Nonetheless, I was relieved I didnt have to spend my time looking for another hotel and I was told I could check out 1 hour later as well. So I didnt spend much time thinking about it. The next day or the day of my checkout, I called the front desk from my room to confirm the late checkout until 1pm (checkout normally 12pm). The person at the front desk said that I could check out later. Two people have now stated I could check out later. I went out for a meeting and returned back to my room at 12:15pm and my key cards were not working. I dont understand how a hotel can screw up the length of stay for one of their guests and have issues with simple requests.

Overall everything was great. The check-in and checkout process were both fast. The exterior of the building is gorgeous as well as the elevator doors in fact, i believe the building is historic. The only problem I had was that they didn’t provide room slippers and toothbrush like typical hotels of this rating. For the toothbrush they provided me when I called to ask but for the slippers there was none at all. The room interior was simple, the amenities like lotion/shampoo/conditioner etc were high end which I really like. The handle of the sliding door in the shower was loose on the first day but they fixed it at once during room turndown the next day. I’d still recommend this hotel also for its very convenient location and close distance to millenium park and magnificent mile.

We stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday and figured it was a good central location to everything that we wanted to do, but also a close walk to the train, if we needed it. We got in pretty early, but they were able to upgrade us to a different room that was on the corner and was still able to accommodate the three of us. We had a king bed and a pull out sofa bed instead of the two queens we had originally booked, but we didn’t have to wait to check in, so that was nice. The room was very nicely decorated, had a large bathroom and extra seating to hangout. The only complaint from any of us was that the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. There were random hairs on the walls of the shower, so that was a little gross and it didn’t seem like they swept the floors very well each day. I’m kind of a clean freak, so I usually pack cleaning wipes just for those reasons. Overall, I would stay here again and the staff was amazing! Very helpful, prompt and professional.

Awesome hotel with great location and service
We just got back from our trip to Chicago where we stayed at St. Jane. It really is one of the best hotels I have stayed in because of the service provided by the staff, the look and feel of the hotel as well as the location. As we were on our honeymoon I had written to the hotel to see if we could have a nice room on a high floor and when we arrived the staff was so nice and welcoming. Jesse who took care of us, not only gave us a room on a high floor but he also upgraded us to an amazing corner room overlooking the city and the lake. 10 minutes after we had checked in there was a knock on the door and we got a bottle of Champagne along with a card from the staff wishing us a happy honeymoon. It really set the tone for our Chicago visit. During the rest of the stay the staff was so helpful and kind and you can really tell they take service very seriously. They made everything feel very personal yet still professional and we would like to say an extra huge thank you to Jesse for taking such great care of us during our stay. Both me and my husband loved St. Jane and there is no other hotel we would stay at if we come back to Chicago!!
