2 days at Pocahontas
This is the second time we've stayed in Pocahontas. We love the place, the cabin is always clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very good. Perhaps the only complaint we have - if you can call it that - was that the dinner selection at the restaurant was a lot better the first time we were there in 2016. They change the menu every season. If we go to Jasper again, we will stay there again.

Very Good8.0
Check in was speedy. Since it's winter the pool is closed (outdoor) but the hot tub was available. Breakfast as basic but nice to be provided. Did have trouble with out room heating. We found it cool and we tried turning up the furnace and maybe gained a degree with it cranked to the max. Hot water obviously has to travel a distance as it took a while to get hot water

Had a wonderful time here. Wished we were staying there longer. Easily accessible. Its away from the crowds, yet close to town. Staff were all very friendly. Good food in the restaurant as well.

Nice, but beware of mosquitoes
The hotel is about 40 mins from Jasper with a bunch of road constructions going on. Still not a bad option if you are finding it hard to get a place in Jasper. Amazing view from the balcony, but you would not dare to enjoy it because of the mosquitoes. We bought and finished one can on mosquito spray in two days. I wish the hotel staff owned up to this a bit more. Other than that, nice place for relaxing. Will recommend Poco's Cafe for breakfast. Try out the Alpine Omelette and the french toast!
