Situated by the bank of the Petanu River and lush foliage, the Maya Spa is housed in a traditional Balinese teak building. The thatched roof and interior is complemented by contemporary fittings in natural stone, stainless steel, and frosted glass. The spa features eight open-sided pavilions with two single and six double treatment rooms, and a river deck for foot massages. In consideration of other guests and to preserve the tranquility of the Spa at Maya and it environs, including the River Café and Spa Pool, guests are respectfully advised that children are not permitted into this area of the resort. A children’s pool is adjacent to the main pool close-by the lobby in the central area of the resort.
Flower or herbal bath - Baths are prepared in the spa pavillions. On request, an in-room bath is available. Menu includes floral and milk or herbal baths.
Relaxing Balinese massage - Balinese technique using firm finger strokes and palm pressure combined with essential oils to massage the body.
Herbal treatment - Session begins with a neck and shoulder massage, followed by a warm herbal compress on the entire body and finished with a scalp massage.
Soothing Maya Massage - Long flowing strokes are executed throughout the body using aromatherapy oils.
Harmony duo - A four-hand massage with two therapists working in tandem to gently ease the body into a state of total relaxation. This special massage employs techniques to rejuvenate tired muscles and improve blood circulation, and is followed by a herbal bath.
Maya Escape - Revive with a relaxing Balinese massage and choice of body scrub. Following by a pampering fragrant flower bath to create a feeling of increased inner strength and emotional balance.
Body Scrub - A natural body scrub will help to keep skin soft, smooth and healthy-looking as well as nourished. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the surface and is followed by an aromatic flower bath.
Maya Facial - A special blend of natural ingredients consisting of orange, avocado, cucumber, yogurt, egg, honey mint leaf, apple cider, and ground corn is used to moisturize the skin. The treatment includes a neck and hands massage.
Petanu Interlude - A combination of treatments starting with a Balinese massage, followed by a herbal treatment and bath. The session concludes with a foot massage.
Masculine Express - Specially developed for male clients, the treatment begins with a foot massage, followed by herbal pound massage and finished with a herbal bath.
The essential oils used for massages and body treatments are natural extracts from flowers, herbs, and spices. The selection includes jasmine, lavender, ginger, tumeric, mint leaves, as well as fruit, honey, eggs, and sea salts.
