The stairs were tough after a long day of site seeing.

This is not really a hotel; just to stay at a place only for only one night close to city center. I believe that there is a common bath tub and toilet, but they are very clean and that let me believe that no one use them. They serve good "English breakfast".

Very happy with our stay!
We were overall very happy with our stay at this hotel. The location was just what we were looking for- outside of city center for quiet, but easy to jump on public transport into downtown. Across from beautiful Hyde Park with lots of great little English pubs within walking distance, as well as a launderette. The staff is above and beyond friendly and helpful and the breakfast was tasty and a good value at 5 pounds. Our room was clean and comfortable. The single negative I have for this stay was that our room was up 6 flights of narrow stairs, which was not great for dragging heavy suitcases or even ourselves after a long day of sightseeing. If this will physically be a problem for you, be sure to request a lower-level room. We would definitely stay here again when in London and recommend it!

Great location and excellent staff!
My wife and I spent four nights at the Parkwood, which was walking distance from the Marble Arch Tube Station, so it's well located. The Marble Arch itself and Speakers Corner are two sites not to be missed, especially the latter on a Sunday afternoon. Our room (No. 9) was small, as are most accommodations in London, and a bit noisy because it faced the street, but as always, you get used to it after the first night. The breakfast was well worth the 5 quid (each) we paid, and if you walked away hungry it was your own fault. If you book directly with Parkwood the breakfast is included (but check the price difference, of course). The staff was lovely and helpful, answering even the silliest of questions. We will stay there again, hopefully next year!

The place is run well at the customer service side all the way to the sweet housekeeper. I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom. The bathroom was clean the whole time, but the hot water and water pressure gets a bit weak as the day progresses. Perhaps this had to do with being up four flights of stairs--make sure you are in shape to climb that, otherwise request another room. It was great for me, but I'm flexible and not too fussy. Only complaint: thin walls. My neighbors were overzealous about travelling, otherwise cool and convenient location.
