Nothing Tropical more like terrible.
The first room had NO A/C at all we got moved to another room and had to carry all our stuff up to the 3rd floor because their elevator was out of service!! It was horrible the beds looked much bigger in the pictures online, they were twin beds and my friend is a large woman so it was a tiny bed for her and comfortable at all. After 3 hours the room finally cooled down. The Location is the only thing saving this hotel. Al so there were little bugs 🐜 in the bathroom. I will be disputing this charge with my bank due to false advertisement.

I had a nice stay at Tropics…staff was very friendly and gave great ideas for things to do. The location is great…across from the beach walkway, food and shopping and more within walking distance! The only complaint is the slow elevator but not a huge problem, just took the stairs! Not sure what the negative reviews are about. This is no frills, you can’t expect luxury for this price in Miami! The place was clean and comfortable!!

It's a bohemian little place, well past its prime, dated furniture (and beds!) and could use a fresh coat of paint or three, but I still liked it! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and its one of the few places you can stay in Miami Beach without having to take out a second mortgage.
