Great night's sleep!
I am stayed at a few different hotels this trip, but this one was my favorite! I had the best night's sleep here. The bed was comfortable, the A/C kept the room cool all night. I loved the historic aesthetic of the room with the beautiful wainscoting. My only complaint would be that parking was in short supply. I felt lucky to have found possibly the last remaining spot of hotel parking, otherwise you're at the mercy of public parking.

We were three couples in our late 50’s. Two cancer survivors. We arrived at 10:30 pm and the host, who was young and strong was there having a great conversation with a couple of friends and ignored us while we struggled with our bags. Then he assigned the wrong key code to one of the rooms and left for the evening. Luckily my husband had unlocked the door from the rooms to the lobby because our friends had nowhere to sleep. We started looking around the empty lobby and that must have triggered an alarm because the host came back thinking someone had broken in. As far as the rooms, the bed was supposed to be a queen and was a full. You have to put the luggage on the floor and then you can’t walk around because the room is so small. Expensive and terrible service

Anvil Hotel has the potential to be nice, decently renovated motel. A few concerns: - the heat was unmanageable, heat “off”windows open and still sauna like -the parking lot was snow/ice danger zone -we had “do not disturb” on door, they still came to do turnover service (which was fine) but instead of full service they just took all our towels- no replacement or bed making - bedding was weird- top not fitted sheet as base, and a top sheet on either side of a dirty comforter -outside our bathroom window was a literal trash heap -the shower trickled Overall having a pet friendly location near to town was nice. Wouldn’t pay the price to stay again. Avoid glorietta as well, staff shortage or not they are RUDE and laughed us out the door when we inquired for a table at 5pm.
