We loved this little hotel. It had pretty of personality & charm. Location was so great for our Dancing with Stars night! We wished we could have stayed longer & hang at the hotel pool & bar!

Cool place to stay in L.A.
The hotel was in a great location--right across the street from Tge Grove/Farmers Market, which is a really fun place. The hotel itself was quirky but cool, with a hipster vibe. I enjoyed the room layout, but there were a few concerns for me: 1. They spray some type of scented starch(?) on the bed (to keep the sheets from wrinkling). I couldn't stand the smell and asked for the bed to be remade. If you're sensitive to smells, let them know ahead of time to forgoe the spray 2. The bench in our Robin room had some stains on it 3. There was a price listing in a picture frame in the room with prices for furnishings in the room. I wasn't sure whether this was for shopping the room items...or letting me know how much I'd be liable for if any if the items were destroyed. It just triggered that part of my brain that leans towards paranoia... Some cool stuff: 1. House restaurant (Tart) was phenomenal 2. Pool was decked out with rubber duckies (cute!) 3. Crowd was definitely adult, but it could be child friendly too Overall, a cool place to stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone younger than 44.

Awesome Location; Very Comfortable
My fiance came along for my business trip. This hotel has a great lobby with a cute little shop and sweet strawberry flavored water. The courtyard has a lot of chaise lounge seating and you can go to the restaurant attached to the hotel (which also has a bar). The pool is adorable and I guess great for people who love Instagram because it's got this cool duck theme. There is art all over the place. The cafe feels very French. The breakfast is wonderful. Fairfax is a great neighborhood - near CBS Studios, near great shopping, close to Beverly Hills, accessible by Uber/convenient. It will cost you about $17 to get to the airport via Uber. There is a neat diner on this street with affordable food. My only bummer was that I am allergic to dogs and it's very dog friendly. There was some fur in our room as well as some dog residue (trying to be polite about what it is) on the concrete floor. The heating/air in the room is not the best. Visitors should know that the bar closes around 10:30-11 p.m. I will definitely go back for the price. The room also had a helpful kit (available for $6) in case you get sick. I had a migraine/allergy attack and the kit saved me.

Great for Attending CBS Studios
We had a two night stay in a Tack Room. The room was located in a separate building across the parking lot. The blind was beginning to fall down (screw was out of the wall) and there was an inch gap at the bottom of the exterior door (no weather stripping). These rooms also have an issue with noise (can hear the toilet flush from the next room). The decor was in keeping with a barn theme and had great amenities. The location was the main reason we chose this hotel, right across from the CBS studios. It was very convenient to the shopping and restaurants at The Grove and Farmer's Market. The front desk staff were courteous and straightened out a mixup with our room, even gave us two tokens for free drinks at the Tart. The outdoor patio for the Tart Restaurant was pleasant and included a fireplace. They had a great wine list and appetizers. Unless you are going to the CBS studios, at $600 (with valet parking) for two nights, there are better choices in the area.

Great little hotel, and generally recommended. Some little problems we had: The bathroom is weird with a sliding door and a glass wall. No closet in the room, just some hangers and drawers. We asked for an extra towel on the first night, but it was taken the second day even though we hung it on the rack. No refrigerator in the room.
