Parents or a legal guardian traveling with children under 18 years must present the child's birth certificate and an identity card with photo (passport, for example) at the check-in. For international travels from Brazil, if just one of the parents is traveling with the child, she/he must present – in addition to the child's certificate of birth and identity card with photo – a letter authorizing the trip signed by the other parent with a notarial certification of signature. In case the parents or the legal guardian, as applicable, cannot or are unwilling to give this authorization, a judicial authorization is required. People who intend to travel to Brazil with children must consult with the Brazilian consulate before traveling for more information.

Exceptional 10.0
Very well maintained hotel
I have stayed in several hotels of the same price range along Copacabana, and they had all had something that wasn't working, some have had broken A/C, lights not working, no hot water, wi-fi slower than ketchup from a Heinz bottle... The story has been that there is usually something, but in this hotel, everything was, to my surprise, very good. Nothing was damaged, service was good, very good English speaking staff, and with location one block away from Copacabana, I can recommend this hotel to others.

Convenient hotel with a friendly, helpful staff
A nice, clean, hotel in a good location. Just one block from Copacabana Beach. They furnish beach towels and umbrellas at no extra charge. Also have two computers available at a small charge for time used. The rooftop deck has a small but very nice pool, and a fantastic view of the ocean and beach, as well as the mountains. They also have a bar there. Excellent breakfast buffet, which I enjoyed every morning. Full service restaurant for the other meals. Friendly staff, most of whom speak English, and want to please their guests. I would stay there again if I return to Rio.

Poor 2.0
Awful Hotel as no visitors allowed. I had friends in Rio that wanted to hang out with by the pool area but NO VISITORS ALLOWED. Neither or Hotel website do not disclose that!! If I was aware of that then I would have booked somewhere else. My friends stayed at Americas Copacabana Hotel and it was a magnificent hotel with rules and property overall.
