Very good
Very good in general, great location and friendly personnel. Taxi to airport should be offered at lower prices or give cheaper alternatives to customers.

Not really for tourists
ok hotel, friendly people with a decent knowledge of English. Close to the beach of Flamenco but you need to take a (short) train ride to Copacabana or the other nice beaches. No night live or restaurants that make you go back in that neighborhood. Rooms are very basic but clean.

I was very disappointed with the quality of even the most basic services at Augusto's Paysandú Hotel - especially for the rather steep price I paid (and this was a promotion). The room was extremely bare with an old air-conditioning unit that was noisy and struggled to keep the room at a minimum of cool. Our bed was small for a double, with evidently old sheets and when we came back one day, the comforter was gone. It was also uncomfortable to have a room that locked by key which was demanded by the front desk each time we left the building. As for the service, my boyfriend and I were questioned as to whether we really wanted a double room and given poor treatment when we insisted. This homophobia was also reflected in the hotel's policy book, which include a line that prohibited immoral behavior. The poor service was reflected during the meager breakfast. Each morning we descended to breakfast and were surprised each morning by extremely rude guests who played youtube videos loudly, talked on phones and cursed explicitly. The hotel staff did nothing to encourage a more friendly or at least quiet atmosphere. Overall, I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel, the service is not worth the high price, indeed it is not even worth a cheaper price.

Good hotel but?
The receiption, restaurant and management very helpfull. Location is good and safe. Rooms small and the dble bed small, we had to change the room for two single beds. Hotel need upgrades old furniture . Good internet and ask at the front if you can have it for free, they did for us as we stayed 10 days. Close to metro, if we ever stay at this place again be for the management and location.
