If you're a light sleeper don't stay here.
Two of my four nights we had to be up at 5am the next day due to tours and flights. The band was so loud that I couldn't fall asleep until after they stopped which was after 11pm. And of course you then hear them packing up so it wasn't until after midnight that it got quiet. The two days I could sleep in, banging from hotel maintenance (my guess) started at 7am. Then the bathroom vent looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. Gross. The only thing I really liked about the hotel was its location and the amazing free breakfast. Sadly would not stay here again if I had the choice. Sleep quality is very important.....

Charming and fun.
Hotel old but proud. Staff well trained and helpful, fun creaky floors and can meander some to find your room..in fun way. Walking distance perfect for us and many bus choices if not, excellent breakfast buffet, traditional Irish music most nights,. Only downside is downstairs dinner menu. Limited menu, not well prepared.

Castle hotel disappointment
We arrived early and were told to come back at 1:30 pm. We did and they told us housekeeping had to release the rooms. There were quests everyone in the hotel waiting for their room. Looked like a homeless shelter. Every spot in the hotel had quests waiting. We were told then it would be 2:30 pm. I looked up my confirmation and it showed 2:00 for check in. I took my phone with my reservation to the desk and all of a sudden my room was ready. Then the elevator was broke. We were not able to get any help to carry our bags up three flights of stairs. I sent a email with my concern prior to rating the hotel and was told that they realize their errors, but hotels, com needs to revise the check in time. I was not satisfied with their answers. They did nothing to make it better. I will not stay their again. Plus room had no air conditioning and very noisy at night.
