Lovely Stockholm Hotel in Sodermalm
Hotel Hornsgatan was a wonderful place to stay on our first trip to Stockholm. The owners were warm and welcoming, made us feel at home immediately. They were very helpful when we were figuring out how to best see the city, especially with our 8 year old daughter. Our room and shared bath were kept spotlessly clean. Bathroom floor was heated, nice touch. Breakfast each day (included) was delicious: brie, two kinds of herring, choice of cereal, bread, fruit, milk, yogurt and juice. Loved the lingonberry juice! The hotel is well located in Sodermalm, and we walked everywhere, except for when we took the ferry to Skansen and Junibacken, both highly recommended, especially with children. We loved seeing animals native to the region and learning about the Sami at former. The latter far exceeded expectations. We all loved Junibacken! Delightful way to spend a few hours. The Nobel Museum was amazing, learned so much, some hands on activities. Fotografiska is one of the best museums I've ever been to, and I've been to many. Every exhibition a winner. Gorgeous cafe with great views and beer. Highly recommend Stromma's winter boat tour. We ate well at restaurants recommended by our host. Legumes was fantastic vegetarian, very affordable, great flavors. Our favorite restaurant was Bla Dorren in Sodermalm. Ate traditional Swedish food and had fantastic local beer. We also had a great meal at the Hairy Pig restaurant on New Year's Eve. Great service at all of these spots.

Great value/comfortable/charming/fantastic locatio
Great little hotel in an old gothic building. It's one floor of a huge building in the middle of downtown Stockholm owned by a couple; they are so friendly, so helpful, and so hospitable. We had a 4-bed room, which was really more like a 2 bedroom suite with a shared bath. Everything was clean, tidy, comfortable; the room was so charming and comfortable. Highly recommend this little gem.

Great start to Sweden
This hotel is the best deal in Stockholm. This was my first completely solo international trip (age 61), so I wasn't sure what to expect from the bathroom down the hall, but it was fine. Extremely clean and well kept bathrooms, all single. If one is full, there's another one conveniently located next door or down the hall. The hallway is bright and spotless. I usually made a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night and I never felt nervous, but rather completely safe. It is a small hotel and quiet. This hotel was my first and last stop on my itinerary, and I would stay here again, and probably will. Great financial deal also. The staff was fun and friendly. I had just read the Millennium Series so enjoyed staying on Sodermalm. The walk to Slussen and Gamla Stan was easy and beautiful along the scenic walkway. I prefer staying in real neighborhoods, and this was definitely one with everything I could possibly need within a couple blocks…even an Apple store just a little further. The subway is near the hotel as well, but I always walked. Sodermalm has an old town as well. I love that this is a small hotel as well so the staff knows everyone who is staying there. Room comfort received 4 stars only because some people will insist on a connected bathroom, which they have, but I was fine with this situation.

A simple and little cosy place
Conveniently located at walking distance from the city centre in a pleasant and charming neighbourhood. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. All rooms are different and charming. In the breakfast room coffee, cakes and biscuits are available 24/24 for a light snack. The bath room is in common among several rooms, but it maintained very clean. In a nutshall a simple and charming cozy little place.
