DIRTY
Came down on a whim one Saturday to plan for a birthday getaway in June. Check in was super easy and the staff was extremely friendly. When we got to our room however we were hit with a TERRIBLE “dirty feet”/moldy/dirty smell as if the carpets were saturated with dirty water. While I was sitting on the bed the heat vent kicked on and I actually couldn’t even speak to say the smell was coming from the vent because I was gagging from the smell. I then realized the vent and ceiling around it were BLACK. The beds had broken springs. The room was so dusty, you could see it from a distance. The fridge was broken and was leaning so much it appeared it would fall over- nothing could stand up inside it. After realizing how dirty everything was, we did not even feel comfortable showering in the equally as dirty tub. The amenities were wonderful, we loved ice skating and the game room. We grabbed 2 nachos and one water bottle from the snack stand- $22, which is fine everything is expensive while on vacation but they were out of all the nacho toppings so we basically paid that for chips/cheese. There was an ice skating rink which was great until 7am Sunday when we were woken up by the screaming and whistles of a hockey game. Overall it was a fine place to crash for a night but I would never bring my family back for an actual stay and glad we checked it out before our bday trip in June.
