It is a nice enough hotel but not up to Taj hotels standards. Still being renovated and older rooms have very hard Indian style mattresses. Buffet food is OK, not great. Karavalli restaurant is very good. There are mosquitoes in outdoor dining areas. Staff is courteous.

Excellent luxury hotel in Bangalore
Vivanta is an excellent hotel with very good value. Whenever we visit Bangalore, we stay at Vivanta. Things that are good: * Very clean and well maintained rooms and lobby * Buffet breakfast is superb with wide variety of Indian and continental food. * Hotel is centrally located near Brigade road * Service is very professional, whether its security, house keeping, in-room dining or baggage assistance. The safe once ran out of battery but security came promptly and installed new ones. Things to improve: * King size bed could be a little bigger, its actually a Queen size bed * Improve eco-friendliness by replacing lots of plastic water bottles with water filter. Providing recycling cans would also work.
