Under construction!
The pictures are very deceptive. We were put in an old room that looked nothing like the beautifully renovated rooms. There was construction everywhere. The pool was surrounded by construction. The dryers did not work. Our room had a foul smell coming out of the air conditioner which was masked by air freshener when we arrived. We were offered an updated room when I mentioned the smell, however, we chose to stay in the old room because it was close to the beach and not in the main construction area. The beach area was great! The beach umbrellas and chairs were very nice. The man handing out the beach chairs was awesome. Very nice and helpful! Also, the deck area was very nice!

This hotel is in the process of being renovated, suite was beautiful, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, small kitchen eating area and sitting room. Beautiful furniture, large tv in bedrooms and sitting area. All kitchen supplies we needed. But renovations going on outside the door at the pool, major work, lots of workers, noise and dust. Parking lot jackhammer early morning. I know it will be beautiful once it’s completed, we could see the bones of a splash pad and paved pool deck.

Spacious/Good Beach Access but Dated
The hotel is under construction. I knew that when I made the reservations, but we stayed in thevold part of the hotel. It was very dated, and the drawers in the dressers would not open right and there was a musty smell when they were opened. The room was very spacious, and the beach access was great. One part that really turned me off was I had to go talk to a Westgate "vacation club" employee to tell me how to get to my room. They proceeded to try to sign me up for an informational session. The person who checked me in should have told me where my room was located. I wouldn't have stayed here if I knew that I would have to deal with that.

The City should close this hotel
This hotel should not even be open right now. They are doing major construction which affects every aspect of the hotel. The first room we were given had workers 5 ft in front of our door cutting concrete and installing new pavers. The amount of dust and noise that comes from that is ridiculous. That was also directly next to the pool area so if you wanted to go in the pool you had to deal with that. We had a 10 month old with us and couldn't deal with the noise so we asked for a new room. They did move us to the front of the hotel, so they were only painting this area so it wasn't quite as loud but the noise mainly came from being on a main rd. The room had the appearance of being nice but looks can be deceiving. The rooms were completely tile except for the living area had a rug. The rug looked a little old but whatever, so we let our baby crawl around. After 1 minute her knees and hands were black from dirt. So we rolled up the rug and put it to the side, the tile throughout was not cleaned very well either so we went and bought a mop to clean it ourselves. When you think that's it, nope, the a/c didn't work very well. We like to sleep with our room at 70 degrees, the a/c would just turn off and on when ever it wanted, nothing to do with a set temp so the room never got down below 76 and when it did turn on it would vibrate the entire apartment. This place should be shut down till they are finished and I still don't know if I would recommend it. Disgraceful!

Construction zone but still a great stay
It is definitely a construction zone but the staff go out of their way to attend to your needs and the location is great. I would stay again
