Nice stay for a quick visit!
We picked the Beacon Inn for the price and location, and was a pleasant stay. Of course it's not a 5-star hotel as it is a 200yr old townhouse, so we didn't have extreme expectations and the stay was nice and comfortable (and the furniture is beautiful antique). The room did need some updates (wallpaper in bathroom peeling) but was fine as it was still clean, plus the workers are so nice and accommodating, and very helpful. Breakfast was a lovely assortment of bagels, muffins, croissants, oatmeal, cereal, juices, etc., etc. Can't beat this with free breakfast and wifi!

Near hospitals for family emergency
The place was within walking distance to the hospital where I needed to be for a family emergency. It was comfy and clean, and met my needs.

Great location but problematic bathroom.
Great location but not really private bathroom, it is more like outside the room and you are the sole user. Overall, it was fine.

Do not stay here if you want a clean, spacious or comfortable room. Our room had an air conditioner in the only window which was secured with duct tape. The temperature was around 30 degrees and windy and there was so much air that came through the duct-taped AC that it rattled the door to our room all night. Also, the private detached bath was far from the room and the drain clogged during the shower immediately. The “continental breakfast” was mini boxes of cereal and coffee pods in a lobby-like room that had no seating. There were water stains on the ceiling of every room and peeling wallpaper and paint everywhere. After a miserable night, we left as soon as we got up. DO NOT STAY HERE

Wouldn't stay here again
The room was tiny along with the bed. Both of our feet hung over the edge. Our "private " bathroom was down the hall, very inconvenient. I reserved a parking space only for them to call me the day of arrival and tell me they didn't have one. I guess someone complained and they got ours? The room was located on the top floor with no elevator. Very arduous after walking the city. Good location, too expensive for what you get.
