Excellent Location & View
Excellent location in Fisherman Wharf. Cable car station right across the street. Can see Golden Gate Bridge from Bay view room. Well worth the little extra money for this view.

Very Disappointed
Pretty disappointing stay, particularly because the was almost empty due to fears over the Coronavirus. When we arrived we were assigned arguably the worst room in the hotel (second floor interior, dark, view of roofing, etc.) after specifically requesting an upper floor and bay view. My guess is that the room assignment may have been because we were able to secure an excellent rate due to March visit and low occupancy. Not sure why our request was completely ignored. Television was glitchy, turning off at will, and when we request a late checkout due to later flight, we were told check out is Noon, no exceptions, regardless of occupancy, etc. We were informed that their “allocation” of late checkouts had already been met. Not sure how that could be possible with such low occupancy. Have stayed at this property in the past and enjoyed it very much as it's location is perfect for exploring the Fisherman's Wharf area, access to Cable Cars, Ghirardelli Square, etc. Not this time, particularly at this price point. Even with a great deal, we still paid $250.00 per night. We had a choice between The Fairmont and The Argonaut Hotel, both at the same price point at this point in time. We made a mistake. It's not the cool, class hotel we've frequented in the past. Very dissatisfied and disappointing.

very touristy area and decent hotel
The hotel is fine, but nothing special. The rooms were dark with small windows. It is not a luxury hotel, but it's in good condition and taken care of well. The area is very touristy, which I probably should have been aware of when I booked.

Hi sailor. New in town?
Was glad a brought copy of my reservation. When I checked in desk said I was already checked in and had card on record. Gave me a key to room. Huh? Don’t know exact situation but spoke to manager and got another room. Have no idea who was checked into my room.

A++ Place to stay in busy area
I always like this hotel, plus they have solid walls so that you are not hearing the room next door cough

valentines day retreat
The young lady with the tri-colored red hair was pretty unpleasant. She did not greet us and sent us to the wrong room with our luggage. WE WERE Very displeased. I also didn't receive a receipt ? We told her it was our anniversary and didn't even respond, my wife was pretty disappointed and I felt I had reserved the wrong hotel.

Earplugs recommended
Love this hotel! It's super cute and in a great location. However, this is my second stay and I've come to realize that the walls must be super thin because I always hear the neighbors. I need to remember ear plugs!

Clean rooms but beware of resort fee
Great location! Very clean rooms! The resort fee is somewhat of a joke though. $30+ per day for chess boards, “free wifi” and the work out facility. Just beware of that.
