Stayed here years ago and it was much better then. Very dated and not really clean. Very nice location and nice staff, though.

Great hotel and nice staff, great views but no AC?!!! Wish I would have known we weren’t getting a ocean view. The 3rd party bookings and deceiving.

    Honeymoon Getaway without a view
My husband and I chose this place based on the view and the location. We were married the Saturday before our trip and wanted to get away somewhere nice but not to far away and thought Pismo Beach would be perfect. Spyglass Inn was clean, comfortable and definitely had the amenities that we were hoping for in our little getaway. My only disappointment was that I was sure I had booked a room with a king bed and upon arrival was told my room was upgraded to one with a patio...upon entering the room found that we got two queen beds instead and our patio faced a wall of bushes rather than the ocean view I had hoped for. I told the front desk person that it was our honeymoon but that didn't change the room location. Our room overall was very nice and the location on any other occasion would have been great. He did say that my upgrade included a patio which confused me because it appears that every room of the hotel has a patio so not sure where that upgrade came from. I would have loved to have an ocean facing room w/a king bed. Next time I'll make sure to call ahead and confirm my room location. We will likely stay here again in the future but know now that I have to call and make sure I have an ocean facing room with patio.

    So so
It’s got comfy beds but there seems to be some disparity in the quality of the room types. We got a traditional 2 queen room and they put us in a terrible location. The best rooms are the ocean front rooms. Our friends got one of those. We found the pictures of the rooms to be filtered and a bit deceiving. Our room was quite dark. The firebird were great. They should install more. Very popular and people waiting for use. A bit pricy at $300/night for 3 nights. The restaurant was very outdated looking.

The room wasn’t ready till 4 pm. The floors were dirty. The bathroom door from inside was covered with dirt. The neightbors next door brough their huge, gray dog who was barking late at night and early in the morning. Someone outside the door was talking pretty loud till 10:30/11 pm discussing generators for the room.
