There is a reason it’s cheap...
It was a last minute one night stay and this hotel had a good rate for 1 person. Check in wasn’t out of the ordinary. Got to my room and was let down. The room has limited ventilation and fills up with humidity. The shower does not get hot. There is rust on the metal surfaces. The floors were done on a tight budget and are uneven. Years of filth has been pushed up against the walls. The towels are incredibly small. My mattress was rock hard in one side and soft on the other, like it had been slept in by some huge person for years. The walls are extremely thin and transmit noise well. All in all, I know it was cheap but they are avoiding some very basic maintenance items. I’ll pay the extra $20 next time for a better hotel.

Do not stay here!
Negative stars for this place! They should pay customers to stay at their "Inn". The pipes are so bad that if anybody in any room even uses the sink the whole building shakes and makes noise as if a train is going through your room. This was all night long. Anytime anybody in the whole building useed the sink, flushed the toilet or showered, the noise and shaking of the walls was the same loud clanking, banging anw walls shaking. On top of that the beds are TERRIBLE and like sleeping on a lumpy rock. They also allow more people in rooms than they are supposed to. The room next to us was for 3 people only, and they booked it with a family of 6. So much noise. When I tried to ask for compensation they refused. tried to help to get some compensation for me, but this motel, Inn, or what ever it calls itself refused. They called on my behalf and asked them to give some kind of refund, and they refused. Because of this, gave me a voucher for 1/2 the cost future use. This was out of's pocket not the Inn. My customer service rep assured me they are now dropping this place because they would not compensate in any way or own up to anything and they are now dropping this so called Inn. They said they can not endorse a place that refuses to own up to something like this. Negative stars for this place. It should be shut down. The local area is Monterey and Monterey is beautiful, but that positve rating has nothing to do with this "Inn". Just shut it down!

Very Good8.0
Great place considering $60 price for convenience, etc. Older room, don't expect any frills, if it went higher than $60 I'd think too high and start noticing the older furniture and dated bedding.

The room #11,the only one room like this one I believe, it was super clean, which was nice, also what was nice was the in-wall fireplace. Hard to regulate heat though because it provides none. There is an in-wall furnace next to the fireplace that works. but no real controls to regulate temperature. The shower ? jetted tub is interesting but dangerous. Getting in and out of the tub to either take a shower or a soak is kind crazy. Steps up to top of tub but none going into the tub, its like 2 feet down. My back feels every inch of it. I opted not to bathe the second day. The King size bed sucked , along with the flat queen sized pillows and stained sheets. We had 2 horrible nights trying to sleep. Otherwise, the office staff, (one older guy) was very nice and accommodating. The only coffee is provided in the office in the morning. One pot at a time. No flavor and very weak. Unless they spend a little money and get better beds, pillows and sheets, and put coffee in the rooms, I wouldn't recommend to a friend unless they were looking for a room on the semi cheap with close freeway access
