Silverpoint Hotel. Still Good but Used to be GREAT
Ok I'm a long standing patron of The Silverpoint hotel. So I have a lot of years to compre it to. The staff continues to be A+, from the front reception to the restaurant staff & security. However, I'm noticing that the hotel appears to be scaling back in basic things. There were NO wash clothes, iron/ironing board, beach towels. All these things had to be asked for. Now there was a time when they were automatically in your room. Also the bar & the menu has been scaled back as well. I'm familiar enough with the island that I easily just ventured into Oistins to get authentic Bajan food. Also , sounds petty but, the outdoor canopies were occupied most days by staff painting the gorgeous dark wood white. That made it unavailable for use, but also takes away from the sophistication of the look of the outdoor grounds. But the staff continues to be fabulous year after year and addressed my needs when I made them known. I truly enjoy this hotel for its seclusion and hope that management brings it back up to its precious reputation as a great experience for an affordable price. I'd hate for the hotel to be closed down & sold off to management that changes such wonderful staff.

Great beach, accommodating staff.
Had a great stay at Silver Point Hotel. The hotel is situated on a beautiful beach a bit off the beaten path. Most restaurants and shops are too far to walk, but you can easily catch a bus or taxi to go out at night. The facilities are great - comfy beds and chairs on the deck overlooking the ocean (with free wifi if you want it) and the deck is only ten feet from the water. Ate two meals at the restaurant - caesar salad with chicken with lunch and eggs with beans and toast for breakfast - both were good. There happened to be a kite surfing competition at our beach the weekend we were there and the beach still felt pretty empty - plenty of room to stretch out and easy to find a private spot to relax. The hotel staff were particularly accommodating in helping us book a last minute tour on a Sunday and also allowing us to use a curtesy room to shower before heading for the airport since we had already checked out. Would definitely go back to this hotel!
