Try somewhere else
Over bar, loud music till 1AM. No tea or coffee or even a kettle. Pretty bare bones. Desk people decent, just not a very nice facility.

Great location, great breakfast. Room as a little tight, but that is par for the course in England.

Best location for Bristol's waterfront life
Ready for a wee bit of urbanity after a week of walking in the Cotswolds, Bristol fit the bill. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station and perfectly situated on the water. Quick check-in by courteous staff, our quiet room overlooked the water even though a cafe was located below. We stayed only for one night and would definitely stay again to take more advantage of Bristol's lively cultural life.

Home away from home
I have been staying at the The Bristol Hotel now for nearly 10 years on a very frequent basis and can honestly say that I consider this my home away from home when I am in town. Mark Payne and his team know how to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome and the rooms, despite being a little tired now, offer you the comforts of home. Parking arrangements are the best and most convenient in Bristol with connecting doors to most floors. The surrounding area offers you the highlights of this charming city and most areas can be explored on foot from this very central location. I hope that my travel arrangements will continue bring me back to this lovely hotel - I wouldn't consider any other Bristol hotel options while they do.

Relaxing Stay. Excellent Service
The hotel was good to excellent. The staff both at the front desk and restaurant were helpful and accommodating. My wife has some mobility issues and the staff were sensitive to them and allowed us to park her electric mobility device in an inconspicuous spot in the main lobby.
