Magnuson Hotel Howell/Brighton, Howell
The hotel was ok; a little run down but not horrible. We drove 12 hours to visit friends and the first night was fine. The second night, I locked my key in my room and the man at the desk was rude and wouldn’t let me in without my id that was in the room. I was able to wake my daughter up to get in but he was far from pleasant. I told him I could give him all my account info and he said no, had to see my id. I said let me in my room and I will show you. He replied not without id. Very strange. Then he said he was watching us on camera. We were meeting up with friends and we were laughing and joking but he said he would tell us to leave if the people that were not in the rooms didn’t leave. What’s the point of getting a room if we can’t visit with the people we drove half a day to see? I won’t go back there.

Nice bed, but not worth $100 or more
The room is fine, comfortable bed, but a little to expensive for what you get. If it were around $79 I would say it was worth it...but not over $100.'s description of "free breakfast" was misleading. There was some snack food and they only wanted to make just enough coffee at a time for the guest coming in. In the past when they say "free breakfast", it was a full hot breakfast. Poor cell service in that area and wifi wouldn't work.

My Stay
Just an average hotel that is not very quiet unless you can get top floor.
