The St Raphael BW Hotel has a very nice interior and the room was very spacious with good storage cupboards and drawers. The room was very comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom. Check in/out was easy. The hotel is situated a short walk to the bus, train, s-bahn and underground stations. There are many small shops int he vicinity of the hotel and bigger brands located beyond the train station, about 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. A lot of the sights/landmarks are within walking distance or accessible via public transport. There were some vibrations from the underground when on the ground floor, but this was not a problem. Traffic noise from the main road outside could be heard, but the windows did a very good job of cutting most of the noise out.

Not bad hotel but the area was not the greatest
The hotel itself was ok, although the room felt small (even by European minimalist standards). Staff was helpful, breakfast was decent and the overall condition and cleanliness was pretty good. Unfortunately, I really didn't like the location at all; I actually didn't feel safe in the area, especially at night. If I were to return to Hamburg I would choose a different hotel simply because of the location.
