We will be back
The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. You can tell housekeeping has pride in their job!

Exceptional
The only complaint, and not one that would keep me from returning, was the in room coffee. Only 1 cup regular and 1 cup decaffeinated were available. We wound up going to the store for some instant coffee to have more than one cup before going to breakfast. Other than that everything was great, breakfast had hot eggs and sausage, plus many other items. The hot tub was nice (very bright in the afternoon) maid service was completed very well every day.

Came to Gunnison to watch our daughter play volleyball at Western. Love this hotel. Stay here all the time! Best hotel in the area.

Probably the best choice in the region, but noisy
This hotel is laid out in motel style, outside of town in a lovely location. We suspect this is the best choice in this region. There is an indoor pool. The price includes a fairly standard motel breakfast. Our visit was during a relatively quiet season, and there were few visitors. Despite this, the occupants were located very near each other and the noise was considerable. It would have been quite easy to separate the visitors in alternating rooms (as opposed to adjacent, or even worse, over each other on the first and second floor).

Poor
What gives hee?
Let me begin by saying that this hotel/motel should not have been opened until the owners improved some of the conditions. I checked in on April 9 (2018) and found there was no running water. Only after I walked to the office to ask bout the water did I get any relief. As night came on I realized the lighting in my room was too dim to see by. There was no lamp on the bed table and the only other light was from a standing lamp on the other side of the bed that could only be switched on from the entrance door. The night of April 9 got very cold (about 20 F) and no heat came on. There was no heat in my room all night. Luckily, I had a nice thick comforter/duvet on the bed without which I would have had to leave to find other accommodations. Apparently, the owners/managers still had many adjustments to make before the summer season. To add to the general malaise I came to experience here, I was put in a room in the darkest, dankest section of the motel. As sympathetic as I want to feel, nonetheless my stay ruined my overnight getaway. And it will be difficult ever to stay in this lodging again.
